Sonia Loskot was appointed as Principal of David G. Burnet Elementary in Dallas ISD in 2014 after serving in many capacities since 2002. In 2015-2017, Loskot and her team were accepted in Teaching Trust Executive Ed. Program leading strong systems on cultural, instructional, data-driven and team effectiveness and 2016-2018 Principal Impact Collaborative implementing Human Center Design Process. The school has been a recipient of OutTeach Garden, Leader in Me School, STEM, Children’s Health School-Based Telehealth Program and 2018 Gold Ribbon in North Texas. Loskot grew up in Belize, received her BBA from Valdosta State University in Georgia and MEDL from Texas Woman’s University. She was awarded 2017 “Principal of the Year” Feeder Pattern Winner and 2018 Master Principal. Serving on advisory teams, educational boards, and task-forces in partnership organizations, Loskot strives for the whole child and to empower everyone through social and emotional concentration that supports an equitable well-rounded education.
