Ana De Jesús has been the principal of Queens High School for the Sciences at York College, a specialized high school, since 2015. The school was ranked 3rd in NYC by the US News and World Report.

Ana has worked in the New York Department of Education for the last 22 years. She started as a bilingual special education teacher in the South Bronx and then served as a social studies teacher at the High School for Media and Communications in Washington Heights. In 2008, Ana became the Assistant Principal at Herbert H. Lehman High School where she led a small learning community.

Ana has participated in several professional leadership programs such as the Advanced Leadership Program for Assistant Principal (ALPAP), the Assistant Principal Institute and the NYC Leadership Academy. She has served on the board of the New York City Council for Social Studies Supervisors and is presently the president of the High School Principals’ Association of NYC.

ALLY

Annabel Prince is currently an assistant principal in Queens High School for the Sciences at York College, a specialized high school, and has served in this position since 2017. Previously she taught Chemistry and Physics in public schools in the NYC Department of Education.

Having taught in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx has given her a variety of experiences and perspectives that she uses in her leadership role to support teachers and students. She is passionate about equity and has worked since 2008 to inspire marginalized students to pursue the STEM field.

Annabel is a graduate of NYC Leadership in Education Apprenticeship Program (LEAP 2017) and has a doctorate degree from CUNY Graduate Center and University: Science, Math and Technology education program.
