Clariza Dominicci began her career in education over 18 years ago in Chicago Public Schools. She is currently the principal of Marvin Camras Children’s Engineering School where she was one of the founding administrators 8 years ago. Clariza has a deep seeded belief that education is an equalizer in social justice. Her conviction is that in order to promote social justice, one must ensure all students have equitable access to a well-rounded education, not just reading and math, and definitely not driven by standardized tests. Although these elements are important within context, they are a low bar in ensuring equity. Clariza has worked alongside her staff to ensure the students are afforded opportunities that they may otherwise not have access to.
