Paul Proscia has served as the Principal of Public School 23 - The Richmondtown School since 2013. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Wagner College, a Master’s Degree in Learning Technology from Mercy College, and an Advanced Certificate in Leadership Education from the College of Staten Island. He is a certified 7 Habits of Highly Effective People facilitator.

Paul Proscia’s leadership journey at PS 23 is unique. Before becoming Principal, he trained the entire PS 23 staff in implementing the Leader In Me process in his former capacity as Director of Student Services. The Principal’s role has allowed him to develop further the foundation of the 7 Habits leadership principles, which is the school’s guiding philosophy. The school-wide philosophy has evolved under his leadership and has strengthened the school’s already strong culture and climate. Paul is a staunch believer in cultivating essential life skills within children. As a result of Principal Proscia’s leadership, the whole school community shares a belief that all students have untapped potential.

Danielle Coco earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from St. Francis College, a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from Alfred University, and an Advanced Certificate in Leadership Education from the College of St. Rose.

Danielle Coco has served as a Physical Education Teacher since 2011. For the last four years in addition to being a Physical Education Teacher at PS 23, she has served as District 31’s Professional Learning Community Facilitator.

At PS 23, Danielle has continued the work she started at her former school as the Yale University’s Emotional Intelligence Liaison. In three different schools, including her current school, she has been the Respect For All Liaison. She also plays an active role as a member of the school’s Leadership Lighthouse Team.
